For the last 8 years, Harvester Artist Lofts has created an event that opens its doors to the public where anyone can stop in, tour the building, and find unique handmade gifts from walking sticks to jewelry. Harvester residents come together throughout the year to plan and execute this fun, community driven event to not only help support local artist; but give back to charity as well.
When the doors open and the public enters, they can stop at the entrance welcome desk and receive a warm welcome by some of the resident volunteers who are available to direct guests how to navigate the building and where to located the complimentary hot cocoa and coffee bar! Four floors in total, the Harvester has an elevator and guests are asked to start on the 4th floor and work their way down using the stairs on both ends of the hallways. Tables are lined up on each floor with a variety of vendors who create their goods each year for this event, and showcase their artist skills and services. Every artist that participates, whether it be a resident or local artist will be available at their table to answer questions and perhaps be able to customize a piece for you!
Have you ever been inside a loft here at Harvester? If you havent, you totally need to stop by! A few residents will have their loft open for you to come in and view their craft as well as see the live/work space that is offered by Artspace.org.
